Need help identifying old rim fire and button

Hello fellow diggers. I was hunting an old 1800s ghost town that went into 1900s with a few revivals. Found this bullet and button that I can’t identify. The button has no back marks and the shell has no marks either 7A79D18B-3957-4F63-8AA6-324456F3C14D.jpeg

Looks like a 32 short rimfire!

Maybe not since I got to compare them. Can you measure the diameter of the bullet? Looks a little larger than 32.
