✅ SOLVED Need help identifying iron part

Area known to have store in late 1800’s, also found old axe head and wagon hub nut.

Piece is heavy iron 6” length , top has round indention both sides, almost as if had a whole through it , but it doesn’t.

Guessing a pin for link and pin for early railroad coupler. Have one about like it. Yours is broken in half, should be about 10-12 inches long if it is a pin

Thanks for each guess, darn it is not Excalibur. I look at both a railroad pin and anvil, I look up picture and I believe it is a railroad pin. There was a store there in late 1800’s and railroad track is only about 800 ft away. Thanks again , I
am really excited about find and new site.
