Found this at a fort that was stationed during the revolutionary war, War of 1812 and the civil war. I've pulled up a lot of CW bullets and 1812 buttons and this... but no idea what it is. It appears to be made of iron and measures 16'' long and 1/2'' in diameter. The hooked portion measures about 3.5''

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

I thought that at first too... but it's not sharp? Not sure if that matters or not.

Welcome to the forum, spudnutt! We have a local donut shop called Spudnuts..Best donuts around!
Does the hook look like it was beveled at all? My other thought is that it is some sort of hook used to gather corn shocks.
