Hello. Went out today and found an old button. Was hoping to hear from
you all on what you think it may be. Went to a place where I've found many very
old items, a war of 1812 artillery button, a 1775 military button, two capped bust
dimes and way too many great things to list. I've posted two pics of the recent find
and believe it or not those are great pics of it..its rough. The shank is soldered directly
to the button (no foot) and not magnetic. Could it be a Filigree?
I am in north Georgia. Thanks, dz

Just guessing here...

My first thought was "a partridge in a pear tree". Maybe a button off a Christmas cardigan?

It is stamped and IMO doesn't seem to be a high-quality button. The "holes" appear to be deliberate (open work). I don't get the sense that it is super old. Turn of the 20th C to as recent as the 1970's? It does look like it was in the ground for a while. :dontknow::dontknow:
