At least I have a boat......And every year I get to go out to do real treasure hunting and live the dream with good friends.....but if you are so concern with the engines you can always donate 2 diesel engines...

6.2 liter chevy diesels go for cheep.military Hummer 6.2 diesels as well.i bought this hummer 6.2 had only 50k miles on it for $100.And got another one on a engine stand for a spare,paid the same price.And just found another 6.2 for $125 with 5k miles on it,its a new factory engine,the guy wrecked his truck.This one is going to take the place of my gasser volvo penta in my 20 foot boat.Most likely the 6.2 diesels will bolt right up in place of your gasser engine.for a reference,they bolt up to a auto or standard th-400 tranny.Just run exhaust stacks out the back,dont have to worry about making water manifolds,just use your existing raw water pump for
cooling.I find the diesel engines on craigslist.people wreck their trucks or they fry thier starter,all minor problems us mechanic can fix or replace in a short time for cheep.An as far as the fuels goes,run SVO.I have a extra oil refinery system that i built thats for sale for $1200.it will heat and centrifuge 45 gallons of SVO in a hour.
