Metal Detecting
Hi everybody I am new to this site and new to metal detecting as well. I do not yet have a metal detector but I am looking. So far I have looked that the Tesoro Compadre and the Bounty Hunter Quicksilver. I was wondering if anyone had anything to say about the two detectors or suggestions for others. I know some people will probably say spent the money and get a higher end model but the thing is I don't have the money. All replies are appreciated. THANKS!!

I know the Bounty Hunter is cheap, but I, personally, have had pretty good luck with mine. I don't have a lot of $$$ to spend on extras, either. I have been able to get pretty accurate beeps and at around 9-11" depth. I just listen with my headphones, go slow and focused. Maybe someday I can invest in a better MD, but for now, my BH fast tracker works alright. I even got a couple teeny pebbles of gold out of the river rocks. It's pretty accurate for a cheapie, too. Maybe I'm missing stuff....then, maybe I'm not. Works for me, as far as what I paid for it. Prosper in 2013! - JSpinner
