This item was found today. Besides some dirt, it came out of the ground as you see it. A U.S. nickel will just about cover the bow on top. Seems to be gold or gold plated. On the front of the locket it has a heart and what looks to be a Dogwood blossom. However, the blossom has 5 petals as opposed to 4 commonly found on the Dogwood. The pin clasp is of the "C-type". I rarely post finds but this one has stumped me. The item was found in the front yard of a house built around 1890. No marks (that I can see yet). Thanks guys.
