I live on 22 acres north of Camas, Washington. There is a small creek that flows through the property. I thought a good place to do some metal detecting would be along the banks of the creek because I thought the bank could be a dump site. Sure enough I found lots a metal, bottles, broken dishes, broken glass, and broken cast iron toys. The photographs shown a cast iron ice wagon, cast iron locomotive, cast iron oil truck, and most of the "neat" metal collected from the dump site. Shown in the photograph is a bolt cutter patented in 1892, clothes wringer from the late 1880", and a meat chopper patented in 1883. [/ATTACH]View attachment 799214View attachment 799215

my god what a haul,,,,
from the amount of tools , screwdrivers, ratchets, chain binders , wrenches , bolt cutters , and other items like part of a hitch receiver , bottom plate of a automatic transmission . it looks like some one had a shed there,,lol
the tools are rusted but the sheer amount of them i find it hard to believe it was a dump per say . maybe some one had to dump the stuff to get rid of it or hide it ?
