I told James Dennis, that we are teaching everybody about Spanish Markers,
& they left markers here. He said: " I didn't know they were ever this far north"
The rest the conversation all he could do is speak & listen with a big smile.
The story he told me, occurred while he was working in the Florida Keys...

James Dennis, was the photographer that mapped & did the photography for the late Treasure Hunter:
Mel Fisher, when they finally pinpointed the Spanish Galleon(s) they had sought for 15 yrs.

While visiting my good friend in S/W Montana, seeing a few places,
I had the pleasure of having an unofficial conversation with James,
when we met in the Lolo mineral pool, & talked Treasure Hunting,
& told him I would use his pics & stories in this Forum on TN,
which he nodded to & smiled, then he said: "I want to tell
you a story," after we'd both viewed the rock formation,
up high above the mineral springs we were enjoying.
He pointed it out & asked, "have you seen it" Yes,
I'd seen it & took pics after pulling up, I replied...

.So what happened, was when I walked into the pool room, I took a pic, then said
"I won't take any more pics unless there's any treasure hunters in here," & that's when
James smiled & said "I am." He talked about working with Mel Fisher, then he told me about
coming up with the idea to use PVC pipe, made in a number of squares they made up, to help
them map & photograph, the "Garden Of Gold," they found, using Satellite Imagery. Comparing
the data they gathered every year, until they got right up over it, in just 60 or 80 feet of water, it
seems that he said both...

He was working in the Florida Keys , they replaced an engine in a small like john boat, & he had to Sea Test it...
Along came walking along, a nicely dressed woman with an urn, & a priest in a big hat. He explained she needed
a ride out to scatter the ashes at sea, could he please take them with him, & he said... OK, but I'm only going out
to the blue water, but that's where you want to be... He took off in about 1' swells, to 2-3', & it was a bit rough in
the boat for them, rocking around bobbing up & down...

So as they were all sitting there bobbing around, the woman casts the urn into the water, & they all watch it get smaller
& smaller, the priest said "you should have taken the lid off," & then it was getting bigger & bigger, until a Dolphin
brought it to the surface, the lid came off, & the ashes scattered out into the water, & the Dolphin laughed......

Didn't know the Lewis & Clark Museum (Free) was closing, & was greeted inside the door with:
We are closing in 5 min. So the pics I took are all individual, no choosing from any multiples.
I had to cover it all really fast.. One young ranger met me at the end, when I was going out.

I asked about getting a pic of the Ranger that disappeared... Not even sure who she was?...
1726449045752.jpeg

A few pics & minutes later, I saw Bailey standing there & I heard, "No, We're Closed," so I said: "I take that as a No"...
With a Slight Grin I was told, "That's a No." Tell her she just turned down a relative of the late.....singer... she left again.

She changed out of her Ranger Clothes, I guess going swimming, but I got one pic at the front museum room door, & said: "Thank You Very Kindly M'am," & as I walked to the last door, she asked from where? I turned to look at them & said...
