🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Natural formation or Carved Animal in Sandstone

Sleeping animal.
I see a head, neck ,ears, tail, hind quarter.
Found in Houston SE Texas where I also find hinged shells and oyster shells and conk shells.
Believe it is carved.
3 inches X 2 inches
Opinions on this would be nice.

Not carved in my opinion. It looks to be a natural sandstone concretion.

It does resemble a Sleeping Bear curled up when viewed from the top.

Looks like eroded conglomerate sandstone. Like images in the clouds, I see a frog.

the fact that its surface (back side too I am assuming) has a uniform, not patina, but "crust", is the give away here. That and the fact that were it native made you wouldn't have to guess and it would be obvious to EVERYONE.
