I was out searching a river today in Oklahoma looking for bottles, fossils, artifacts, etc and I came across this little thing. Does anyone know what it is? Feels like stone and has decent weight like stone. Not sure if it's native or if it's a sliver of a crinoid or something else. I've been metal detecting and "treasure hunting" for 9 years but I'm quite new to native artifacts and fossils. Any insight would be appreciated! Thx.
P.s. first time posting, yay!

Ok, interesting! Do you mean like a native fishing weight? Or maybe just some rock that someone more modern just punched a hole thru for a make-shift weight?

Probably a crinoid stem piece.

What is a wizzer?

Ok cool, I can live with that. Thx for the feedback, Smokey!

Interesting find! :occasion14:
