No worries, I always enjoy hearing other peoples perspective....I really havent had much time to rape the land lately....Doing my tour as a sleeper...I am sorry about your bad experiences with archaeologists in your area, but as my grandpa would say...just cause you got a couple of bent and rusty nails doesn't mean you quit using nails...Anyway, Tanner, I hope you keep an open mind to the things Historians and Archaeologists provide to the general public...Most of your museums are financed by these cultural resource professionals and private individuals working together. Additionally, it is pretty cool to find an old artifact like an old button for instance....And when you find it, you say...hey, I got an old button! An archaeologist might say, I have an old button from the early 19th century. Residue analysis tells me that it was thrown in a trash pit and trace element analysis tells me the button originated in France. Based on historical studies of buttons done by historical archaeologists, the button appears to associated with military uniforms....Now imagine if you had discounted or pushed away the ideas and information archaeologists and historians provided....I guess the point is, you learn a lot more without pushing other peoples buttons....
