OK...told ya last week I was going back to the site where the new barn is built where an old house use to be....remember? Well...I went back today for a couple of hours and finally found a couple of coins there. ;D I got a Standing Liberty AND a Liberty Nickle! Although they aren't very pretty I still like em! Looks like the date on the quarter might be 1915? And the date on the nickle is 1911. Also found another tax token a lid that has Luxor on it, something that looks like a cow :D and something that looks like a squished skull, a button, the rings and of course the bullets! ;)
I am so happy with my finds today...I think I may have to go back again! :D

Hope you had a great day too!

Nana ;)

Great digs Nana! Congratulations. :)

I would be to. Congrats on a tough coin to find. Those standing libs are beautiful coins. Hard to find also. I would have to polish it up though.

Nana, flip that SLQ over and if there are three stars under the eagle then its a 1917-1930 if there are no visible signs of the stars most likely its a 1916. My third coin ever found was a 1916 SLQ so I know how you feel. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D CONGRATS on a awesome day....

Nice assortment Nana! Great little treasures for a couple of hours fun.

Thank you sooo much! ;D

Ok...Red...here's the pic of the skull thingy. It looks like a skull on a helmet..does that make sense?

And Cache...flipped it over and it does have the three stars.

Nana ;)

that skull is a mystery. it kinda looks like a german ss hat insignia but not quite.could it be masonic? hopefully someone else will know. whatever it is it is really cool!

Congrats on the great finds!!!!!!!!!!! I know how you feel last year i found a 1920 SLQ and my older sister was there. I'll never forget the look on her face. Sharing those moments are priceless. Due to her being there when I found it makes it one of my most treasured coin finds.......Keep up the good work and remember you can't find the good stuff sittin on the couch..........wink........)
