nailed a $1000 nugget in 25 minutes

Hi all, after posting my lastest finds this morning , have been back to my new site in a place called German Gully. Only there for a few minutes i spotted an old axe head on the surface and moved it. Then i put the gpx over the same ground and The gpx exploded into the blistering song of gold choas. did a suface scrape and the the sound got louder. Dug down out came the sweetest half oz i have seen. Pure as well. Been a while since i have found a good size nugget.Stayed for a while longer and the temperature rises quickly even in the early autumn.Lots of biting bugs and march flies so i decided i had a got morning and headed for home.My mate got a few small pieces but luck came my way today.

What do you mean by Early Autumn? Are you located in Australia? Isn't a half ounce worth about $500?

Nuggets of this nature are worth more than the scrap weight of gold. Some like to collect them. So much natural gold has been melted down that nuggets are getting harder to find. This nugget will get me $1000 any day of the week.

Yep, that is a really nice nugget Tinpan, easily get a $1000 for it.......SkyPirate, Nuggets are worth a lot more then dust, or refined gold.........

Nice nugget i wish those were found around here , i have a relative who lives just outside Sydney but he spends most of his time at a claim he works hes never been married or had kids hes to busy he says finding gold the last time i saw him was 10 years ago in Sydney hes 68 now he showed me a safe he has in side that safe was 12 1 quart mason jars filled !! with gold nuggets, then it was 35 years of digging so now its gotta be 45 years now, we keep in touch i held one jar in my hands it had to weigh at least 10 pounds i asked him why dont you cash some of this gold he said nope mate iam saving it for a rainy day i told him it never rains here :dontknow:

he just laughed and handed me a ice cold Foster's Lager :laughing7:
