NAHABIT's TWIN BOTHER IN JAPAN!!!" AMAZING WAR STUFF!!

Met this guy through the base Fire Chief at where I work a while back and asked him to take some pictures to share.. He has found all this over the years with just a Eye Detector, Most of this was found in the caves here that cover Island from WWII. The rifle he found still in firing condition..., That is all I can say at this time!! They said they found it in the mud and was well preserved by it.
He has sold a lot at the Flea Market due to having no job at present!
I guess I would have more of this type of things if I had consentrated on WW II areas...I have leaned more toward the old coins a hair pens,,etc and have kind of avoided these areas due to all the bomb and rounds metal in the ground.
Anyway, Just something to share..

I was in the Air Force in the early to mid-sixties. Our dogtags were all notched. We were taught in boot camp that if we came across a deceased airman in a battlefield situation the proper thing to do was to insert the dogtag notch between the two largest upper front teeth , rest the lower half on the bottom teeth and than give the lower jaw a smart rap to seat the dogtag between the teeth. They didn't say what to do if rigor had set in? Thank God I never had to do that! Monty

Re: NAHABIT's TWIN BOTHER IN JAPAN!!!" AMAZING WAR STUFF!!

Everything you show are very good BUT I must warn you that a number of items shown are still LIVE muntions. My older brother was stationed in Guam AND BROUGHT HOME A FEW OLD HANDGRANADES. The pins had been removed and the power had been removed and it was really rusty My brother wanted to make a candle holder out of the thing. As he was melting the candle some hot wax got into the granade and it started smoking. I ran into the roon and grabbed the thing with a towel and thru it out the back door. It did not go off but the thing turned red hot and would have started a serious fire. It was at that time that I collected ALL the live ammo and had it all made safe.
Collecting weapons and mutions is find but first learn what to do and what not to do. Oh by the way you have a LOT OF ILLEGAL MUNTIONS LAYING AROUND.
Since you posted this information and photos on an open forum I expect the FEDS to come knocking and if you are from the MID-East they might not be the only ones to come calling.
Good Luck

Those are Dog tags from recent times. I'm not sure when they started using our SSN instead of the service number, but I believe it was after Vietnam conflict. I'm a retired Marine, although I have never been to Oki or sometimes called "the rock". I was stationed in Iwakuni, and Ive had alot of Marine brothers stationed on the rock who were into the cave exploring, Some even went on a trip to Iwo Jima and did some scuba diving there and found caves under the water with ALL the remains left there, bones, clothes, weapons, and other tunnels that were sealed off. They took everything they found and gave it to the currator of the Island... Hope the dog tag info helps....HH....Bill

Oh and the rubber holder its in is a silencer to keep them from twanging togeather and making noise.

Yes thanks Bill, we all came to that conclusion, I was in the Marines too back in the 70's I'm not sure where he got the tags? I saw right away that maybe they were not WWII and they don't have the tooth notch..Maybe it was lost by a tunnel rat! That is the name of the club. Not sure if they are still going or not! Semper Fi!
