Hi this is the La Panza kid ,

I would have to say there is some good area's around were you live. There also is some really good books you might want to check out.In slo.cal in the La Panza national forest is a good start there are alot of old diggings and mine work out there. Even a couple of old towns an ranches. You might want to check out these books to, James Klein Where to find gold in the motherlode, an also where to find gold in northern California.
