Mystery rock in Alabama

[Not in my backyard]

I found this rock that had unusual bored hole. It's about 2 inches in length and smooth all over except in the middle of the hole. I found it in northern Alabama. Can anyone tell me if it was natural or man made? Hope the clarity is okay. This is my first time doing anything like this

Your hope for clarity in your picture has pretty much failed imo. Take a pic in some good outdoor light. Can't say for sure, but you may have a native american artifact and it looks like it was made possibly of Catlinite pipestone. I'd like to see a better picture of it?

Please, better pictures. From what I see in this photo it's possible it's the top part, or the part held in the hand when using a bow drill. Bow drills were used for making fire.
