Dug a lot more trash and wheaties today as well as more flat buttons including the dandy as well as a few more IHPs and a V nickel. I did not find a large cent this time but I did find a 25mm diameter copper that looks to have a cross and shield on one side just like a Virginia halfpenny. The obverse, however, appears to have a wreath like a US large cent or half cent. Pretty weird. I cant get a good pic of reverse its pretty slick. Has anyone heard of Virginia halfpennies that were restruck?

Best find so far from this site, in my opinion, is the little colonial silver cuff link or linked button. Only the third Ive ever found and the first with the floral pattern. Added a pic with the other two

Congrats on the nice finds! :occasion14:

Very cool finds.

Thanks. I was really hoping for an early silver coin by now but I like this find just as much

Just wanted to add a picture of all three of mine together. Not sure on the age of the bottom one but it came from a colonial to modern site.
