My very first real FIND!

a 1944 mercury dime! I have been detecting for just under a month now with no real finds, when suddenly BAM! I could not believe my eyes when i saw this beauty! Any and all frustration I may have had up until now was well worth it. I am a believer!!!

35 + years ago.....found my first merc. in my backyard. Still remember it.
Good find. You'll find more. Research to pinpoint the older sites in your area. Don't rule out anything in the 1950's. I was paid many times
with silver, for my paper route.....in the '50's. Have a great time dirt fishing.

Congrats!!! Love the feeling of silver. Just found # 6 for me the other night 1944 Washington quarter. Just dig everything till you get the hang of your sounds and machine. HH

Congrats on your first silver, took me almost 3 months and I hit a silver quarter spill at that!! Nothing like seeing silver in the ground!!

My first silver was a Mercury as well. That was back in 1993 and it is a feeling I will never forget.
