All that are not new here know that I believe that this forum is a great way for people to educate and learn from other people. If I say your stone is a stone believe me it is not that I want to tell you that. It is because, if I do not tell you that you would think it could possibly be a artifact. That is not how you educate someone by holding on to the facts and letting them think they may have something. Albeit it is great to offer inspiration to the newbie who is willing to learn but for those who are set in there ways this is not a learning platform anymore. It becomes a debate platform. As we have recently witnessed. I can only say this....... I love all of your posts whether artifact or socially related to artifacts, I love them all. I provide not only a lifetime of knowledge and collecting from all regions of the US but facts when i post. It is not my intention to mislead in any way shape or form, yet I find that certain people on this forum have a hard time considering all the facts before they reply. I remain unbiased in any comment and will place the proof with the words if it is needed.
Most that know me on here know that I believe in the proper usage of this site. This is not a site to sit there and call people names(of course unless provoked) and sit idly by as it is happening. A lot of good members are gone due to this and this type of nonsense has to be stopped. I will set this example by manning up and saying I am sorry to Kugar for saying some offensive comments. Yes in my opinion provoked without cause but I am willing to squash this as I did when it was first posted about that supposed mortar. I will never be sorry for stating my opinion on that piece. If it was wrong then at least validate that with more examples or proof other then harsh words and stating a lineage that means nothing here to me or anyone else. Heck I can say anything to........
My point is I value all finds!! I will state what I know through what I have learned through several decades of handling artifacts. If you feel I am wrong place the evidence on the table and I will admit to it. I am man enough to handle that. No one is right all the time. All that know me on this site know that when I am wrong I admit it or if there is a variant to the fact I listen to it.............I cannot even believe that I am writing this but that is the type of person I am. I hope all that see this will adhere to the policies set forth by the mods and the site. This place is to learn and see what is found daily. What other site covers such a myriad of finds.
I only hope that all will respect the true nature of this forum and will learn that we are not here to knock you down for your finds, criticize your find and say you found a stone, or just make fun of you.....THAT IS NOT WHAT THIS FORUM IS ABOUT!! We are here to educate you and if you know something please bring it to the table. We will not lash out at you for calling us wrong, but please be prepared to supply proof through pictures and articles to support your statement. If not you are not validating any point you make!.................
