Posting some pics of my last few hunts. Many typical 1800 and 1900 coins, buttons, and buckles. A couple cool silver's. A few 1700's. I believe a curtain bottom thing from 1800s? Not sure what the pointy thing is. Oh yeah and a rare Roman Denarius from 81-96, super stoked. Thanks for looking. 20200820_142032.jpg20200820_141925.jpg20200820_141858.jpg20200820_141825.jpg20200820_141301.jpg20200806_125041.jpg20200806_125025.jpgthumb00963.jpg20200820_174538.jpg20200820_174633.jpg20200820_174633.jpg

Correct. Curtain cord pull.

The pointy thing might be an ear wax spoon. Need to see a few more pictures to know for sure.

Sweet finds, congrats! :icon_thumleft:

Cool Domitian, we don't get too many of him but when we do they tend to come out nice. Shame it broke.

Yeah man, it's a heartbreaker, but still awesome 4 me!

A 2000 year old Roman coin found in Bavaria - excellent find - congrats !

Looks like your denarius is from Domitian's 2nd consulship (COS II). With that info alone you can date the coin much more precisely (nudge nudge). The representative denarius you found and shared a pic of is from his 6th consulship, so specialist Roman collectors would be quick to say that while visually similar they are indeed distinct separate issues so more targeted research will probably be rewarding to you (nudge nudge).

Great finds btw!

I found the Denarius near Koln on a friends permission. I wish I had some Roman fields in my backyard

Done some research, I think the V has been chopped (as well as the S) to look like a I. (Can't find any COS II in this issue)
This COS VI is AD79.

Congrats on the Roman silver!
The other item with the cord pull, reminds me of an arm off a set of early eye glasses.
