Hello everyone,
Had a good days hunt today. I was backroad driving and came across an outhouse in the middle of a field. I had to investigate that one right away. I knocked on a few local doors and buttoned down permission to begin the hunt. I noticed a lot of glass shards scattered all over. I ended up digging my oldest coin ever this afternoon. An 1817 Large cent. I was excited to see that. A large cent has always been on my wish list and now I can cross that one off. I still cant believe it. I followed it up with a silver thimble, (which I dropped back in the field by accident ) an 1859 Canadian Large Cent and what I believe is an old iron shackle. It has two holes on each end and one in the middle that I suspect may have been where the chain went. I'M not sure though. Can anyone confirm?
