Is that grass greener on the other side of the fence?
Heck no!
Got to love catching a top self silver so close to the doorstep.
Congrats 👏
I live in upstate NY, with 3500 feet on a portion of the original Susquehanna turnpike, so flat land meant lots of people camping out, during their journey to and from Wattles Ferry

Outstanding find! Spanish silver is always a ahogh mark in my thinking. And the best part is that you didn't have to tire yourself getting to the dig site! How old is your property? Hopefully there is more to be found! Keep us posted!

Great save !!
From the series 1773-1789. .9027 fine.
The senior assayer of “FF” at the Mexico City Mint was Francisco de la Pena (1733-1784). The other “F” was Francisco Arance Cobos (1777-1803).
Don in SoCal.
Wow, thank you for the information I truly appreciate it. I found another one of these a year and a half ago. In my back yard. But as to the date all I could make out was 17, the last two numbers of the date were worn. However, I did find an OM mint mark on it.
