My Ireland trips best find's
I made two trips over to Ireland, one in 2002 and the other in 2004. I stayed about three months each trip. I stead at Slane Farm Hostel. They have 257 acres that you can detect, and a old village site, and a old abbey site, and a old ring fort site. I only detected a small amount of there property. I found old coins, and botton, and other artefact there, most are from the mid 1700's, the oldies was a Edward the I London mint silver penny about 1280 AD. A few from the late 1600's. Most of the coins are half penny's, and a few are British. See photo. The Edward the I is a little ploughed damaged.

...that is where the family lived. And St Patrick's...OMG....that was the family church. Thank you ever so much!!!! I actually got a tear in my eye, just picturing my grandfather walking down those streets, even though I am sure they have changed alot from 1909 to now
