I have been metal detecting for years and I have returned wallets, keys, cell phones and even an earring, but never a ring.Last week I found a beautiful 18k white gold ring with 26 diamonds. I was pretty excited and wore the ring for like 5 days. Then I started to feel bad because the ring seemed to be an anniversary or possibly a wedding ring and I could only imagine how upset the woman must have been. I don?t do Facebook, but I decided to just post on Craig?s List that a ring was found at and the name of the beach. The next day I had three responses, but one stood out, because she said she lost the ring 6 days ago and it was gold with diamonds. When I responded to her she said that she had a picture and she sent it to me. It was clearly her ring, so I told her I had it and she immediately started crying. She asked if she could come right away to pick it up. She came with her husband, who was annoyed that she lost it, as he gave it to her for their anniversary. They tried to hand me money, but I refused. It felt good to return the ring to its rightful owner, but it would have been a nice addition to my collection. A few days later, a beautiful bouquet of flowers was sent to me from the lady, along with a very nice note. that made me feel great!
