I went back to my new spot this morning and dug my first Reale. Super excited! I believe its a cut 8 Reale. Probably around 1731. Let me know if im correct about that. Im still researching it. The property dates from 1619 to after the Civil war. We have also dug several buttons, bullets and a single prong Colonial buckle dating 1690.

Not an 8 but rather 1/4 of a 2. Most likely 1720s too. Nice find.

Congrats on the killer find! :occasion14:

Outstanding! Congrats!

The first one is often the hardest to get. I hope more soon follow for you.

The additional cut marks looks like an attempt at short changing. Very nice find. If only it could talk. The stories it could reveal.

Really nice find with good detail. The only one I've ever found was very well worn with very little detail left. Congrats to you.

Still looking for one of those.

Really? Thats good to know. I saw a chart online to determine the size but it must not have been to scale.thanks.

I saw that too and wondered if there was some discussion on where to cut it.

Love cut silver!
