Hi all,
Well I finally got out in between the freezing weather and had a couple of hours around the old homestead site on my property. I've beat this area to death but like they say, it' s never hunted out.
Anyways, I got my first military buttons, which given the age of the homestead, I'm assuming WWII. The larger Army button could be either WWI or II, wish I could decipher the writing on the back which would make it a bit more easy to date. The smaller Navy cuff button should date to after 1941 since I've read that the Navy changed the eagles facing from left to right hand side around that time.
Thanks for looking and happy hunting!

Congrats on those great looking buttons.
I read that too, that on the WW1 the eagle was facing left, and then it was decided that the eagle should be facing right on the WWll and future buttons.
Maybe someone else can shed some light on this.

Interesting info. - Thanks for posting it !

This may be where I read the Left facing eagle vs. the right facing eagle.
