I started detecting March 2017 and have found a few junk rings but mostly only clad. Today I found my first Mercury dime (1945) I am thrilled. She was found at a park under a big old tree about 4-5" down. 20170607_142205 (1).jpg

You will remember that for a long time. Congrats.

I distinctly remember finding my first Merc... my hands were shaking like a drunkard!

Congrats to you! :occasion14:
Nice looking Merc you have there. Any day you find Silver is a great day!
Keep on swinging and you will find many more goodies.

The first silver coin is awesome!

And everyone after that too :p

Now you are hooked! Congrats on that beauty! There's nothing like the shine of a silver dime coming out of the ground. Here's hoping for many more!

Great find, and congrats on your First Silver Coin! I still have mine, a 1958 Quarter, that I found with a Garrett Beat Frequency Oscillator machine (BFO), in 1971. Gold is going to jump under your coil very soon! :hello2:

A gorgeous coin for you! Congrats. -Lisa & John
