Any ideas on cleaning the cent?

Bob and Doug did manage a few wheaties between them before it started raining.

Doug said he was going to attach the mini movie he took and i didn`t here him say uh once

Doug that LC was at about 6 inches.

Here`s some feedback on a button jut like mine from Montana Jim and PBK from another TNet post, sorry no link.

Quote from PBK: It's a U.S. Army "Great Seal" general service uniform button, a pattern introduced in 1902 and still in use today."

Very common, but very cool (because I love the buttons).

Clean it with soap and water and a soft brush. Sometimes I use "simple green" or "Kaboom"... but if you want it "as dug", just soap & water and gentle brushing.

It could be as old as 1902 or as new as 1955 I guess.

Hope this helps.

Congratulation's on the first LC Bill....I only have found 2 but unfortunately they have no-date's,your's look's to be in decent shape.....Congrat's again to ya,well done

Nice find. When I saw 1952 large cent I knew it was a typo or you didn't know your coins ;D I just found my first last week. They are "Large" Imagine having a bunch of them to carry around in your pockets.

Nice, I've yet to dig a non damaged, decent large cent. Still waiting. congrates!

Nice coin!!!

I've found a few LCs and none are in that good of shape.

I would have been more afraid of the acid in the vinegar.

From the video, if that's you holding up the coin behind the pickup, you look like my neighbor. By any chance did you have ancestors that also went a-viking?

Doug, between a '17 and a '25, you win on mintage. The '17 was 196M and the '25 was 139M. (Checking my dbase, I've found two '17's and three '25's so far.)
