Not even expecting it, furthest thing from my mind because I was actually looking for silver and too busy thinking about all the clad I was finding. I'm lucky I turned the discrimination down! I did find another ring and a silver dime too. The pendant has some weight to it.

I am in love with that stone!

Huge congratz!

Great find hopefully my first is soon to come as well congrats

Beautiful. Nice digs

Beautiful gold !

Arrrrrrgh!!! I don't know if it's gold or not, maybe gold plated? Finally able to read the mark and it looks like CA925? It did not react to my detector set past pull tab so I assumed it was gold. Can gold be marked 925 or is it 825 or 325? I also found this sterling medal.

925 is silver - so its most likely plate over silver which they do do
when ever you find a pendant alone - you should go all metal and grid area around It - 90% chance the chain is near by
that being said - if you find a broken chain - you should check around to see if there is a pendant around
not every chain wears a pendant but every pendant needs a chain

Thanks, I am going to go back and check, I was getting locked into the school grounds so I had to leave :laughing7: There were some pretty special beeps right next to where I found it.

Since you're only referred to the ring as just "ring", I assume the ring was not precious metal.

Regardless, these are great finds! Thanks for posting!

Congrats on a looker!!!

Awesome hunt! :occasion14:

Digging in the region of nickels and pull-tabs will yield the gold; unfortunately a lot of junk lives in this area. :BangHead:

Well that is what us water folks call a Nitro. You think you have a great item then you get disappointed a little or a lot. I have come out of the water with beautiful gold rings with emeralds in them only to see AVON on the inside! It happens to most of us.

However, it really is a beautiful piece and if you bought a chain and had a wife or a girlfriend I think they would absolutely love it.

Good luck on some real gold bling.

Thanks, I was sorta bummed but probably not more than the person who lost it, I need to go back and find the chain too because my wife already claimed the pendant.

Congrats friend! Very cool find!

Very nice pendant and silver finds! Congrats!

Well if the wife has already laid claim to it looks like you'd better locate the chain. ;)
It is 925 silver and there is some gold on it, so you did well.
I know how you feel, I pulled a real sparkler out of the ground only to clean it at home later and see 925 in the band. Usually I get a slight warning from my detector that it may not be gold....sometimes I don't listen.:sly::D
But the gold is out there and you will find it!
