So I found my first gold coin, a 1991 S. African gold krugerrand. My question is, do I send this out to have it "graded" and if so where? I can't believe my luck. I'm heading back to the area today.

Here it is. I can't get a picture to come out clear.

Wow! Congratulations!!!!! :icon_thumright:

+1 on the WOW!

I wouldn't know what to do if I found one. Makes me wonder ... how did someone lose their krugerrand? If only that coin could talk!

What size? 1 oz = 33mm diameter
half oz = 27mm
quarter oz = 22mm
tenth oz =16mm

The weights are 22 Karat gold!

You can figure out how much it is worth for its gold.

I don't know numismatically; could be more.

It says 1/10 on the face

Outstanding aWaredetector!

Double WOW- now you can take that off your bucket list. Outstanding, you can bet there won't be many of those around. How deep was it and what MDer did you find it with? congrats. HH...

About 2" with a Coinmaster Gt

Nice find--a 1/10 of an ounce--that's a bit over 3 grams. That would make a nice little nugget find--nicely done.

All the best,

Lanny
