Ok, so I dug this gold plated necklace with the stone pendant first. After I checked the hole again, I pulled out my first gold ring! A 14K monstrosity that is just beautiful! I've never heard of anyone having a jewelry spill before. I want to find out how old it is and what that stone is in the center. Can anyone point me in the right direction by way of identification? Enjoy the photos! It made my week (it's been a hard one)! 12074612_10153551412430791_7024375069567404468_n.jpg12088034_10153551414480791_7419380048722754380_n.jpg12108291_10153551414600791_3504777768840488870_n.jpg11062919_10153551414575791_2217831580837569097_n.jpg

The stone in the ring looks to be a star sapphire.

Love both pieces, congrats. I think Star Sapphire is the right call.

Congrats on a really nice Gold Ring,,, tag it with the date and location.
You'll never forget that bad boy.

Done and done, against the wind. Does anyone have the proper adjectives for ring identification? there is a maker's mark but my jeweler's loop is missing. It either begins with an "M" or a "W" or an "A"

While both are corundum , with the pinky /red color , you may have a star ruby there . As far as dating on the ring , I think it's
pretty modern 1970's /80's - Do you have any hallmarks on the chain or the pendant ?

Gz on your gold!! Very nice!!!

DANG BEAUTIFUL RING YOU HAVE THERE , AND THE NECKLACE ALSO .....

Love it! I found a star sapphire once on a beach. They are so cool.

THat's a serious chunk of gold! what's it weigh? 8 grams? Big ring!

Skippy

Congratulations on a stunner. I have found two pieces of jewelry in the same hole before on more than one occasion. Usually and indicator that it was deliberately removed and placed on a purse, bag, blanket, etc...before the event that caused the loss! (mostly on sport fields) Sub 8-)

just saying, it looks like a little..... dare i say it. Clit?
