Hi Everybody, Been so busy haven't had a chance to do much digging lately. I was finally able to get out a couple weeks ago to the same lot that I have been having some success with. I was swinging the X-Terra Pro in field 2 mode 5 tones. The very first signal was a nice high tone and as I grabbed my pinpointer and bent down to look, I saw the edge of what I assumed was another wheatback. Imagine my surprise when I saw it was my first Mercury dime in over 10 years of detecting! Its not in great shape but I can make out the date of 1918. Hope to get back to this spot when the rain stops and see what else I discover there. I have found a 1953 silver quarter, 1908 V nickel a few wheats and other cool old items in this same field. They plow this field fairly often and the finds keep coming! Happy Hunting, Scott

Good to see that you found sometime to get out and to detect.
Congrats on your first Mercury Dime.

Thanks brother! Yes, I like the historic element of the older items I find in the fields and imagining the last person to hold that coin, etc...! . The parks in my area aren't very old, but I do hunt the parks once in awhile, hoping for that elusive yellow gold!

Big congrats on finding your first Merc! It's such a rush when you see silver poking out of the hole. Hope there are many more coming your way!
Thanks so much. I found that '53 silver quarter and this merc in the same lot. I have a good feeling there is more silver out there!
