I love the relics and have spent nearly all my metal detecting time in old yards and foundations. But this weekend I took my sons to the local elementary schools playgrounds and decided I would see what I could find.

Oh what a rush! I am not used to digging coins and it was such a thrill. I only limited my searches to the general area of the playground equipment so I am just amazed I was able to pull this much out!

A big $4.22 and a Cub Scout neckerchief medallion. And I barely scratched the surface. There is so much more out there! Oldest is a 1944 penny but I'm just getting started ;D

And best of all my kids got tons or exercise, made new friends and had a great time too.

Thanks for looking!
