It is a Civil War era 3 ringer. You'll have to measure it or put a size reference object next to it for a more specific ID. The other piece looks like melted lead often found in Civil War camps.

Yep like DCMatt said looks like a union 3 ringer and the other pices looks like a piece of melted lead.
Go out and dig some more
