My first Barber Quarter and a few other finds this evening

This afternoon I hit an old homestead that dates back to 1830. Unfortunately when I was given permission I found out that 3 other detectorists have hit this farm in the last year. Not one to give up I tried it anyway. I hit this barber at only 4 " deep, they must have just plain missed that one and everything else was deeper. The wheat was under a lilac bush so they must not have swung to close to it. Also got a brass button and some kind of token? Any ideas on this one? Anyway, it was nice to get out since we finally got a little rain.

Nice finds, I don't get too woried when I here others have detected a site for that very reason. It's hard to find everything. The token like object appears to be some sort of government seal. Maybe for a gas meter or ?

I've been detecting for 15 years and I have yet to dig a Barber Quarter! I've dug two Barber Halves and a dozen Barber dimes ~ but NO QUARTERS! WHY?!!!
