My friends and I were working a spot of ours that has been producing nicely for us. We were working a small area on our way out where 2 large cents and a half cent were found. I was getting ready to leave when I got one of those signals that we all dream about. This beauty was down in the hole about 7 inches at an angle, it was sheer luck that I found it.

This is my first 18th century silver coin and I couldn’t be any more pleased. Thanks for looking and happy hunting!

Wow , awesome Spanish Reale, Congrats!

Congratulations! That's a beautiful 1789 2 Reale piece. I also got into the 2 Reale club this year with a 1789 Mexico piece just like yours. Beautiful detail!

What a great looking oldie!!!! Congrats !!!!!! :occasion14:

Two reales are great coins - surprisingly heavy. Congrats on your 1st 18th century silver. More to likely follow. The first coin is the hardest one to get.
