WOW!!! This is why i want to start this interesting hobby!! What beach do you scan? What's up with the holes in the center of some coins? I want to scan mostly the beach in Ocean City, NJ. I was looking for a best bang for the buck beginner unit. I was looking at the Garrett Ace 350. I want to mostly search for silver and gold i guess?? I noticed there are a few different coils for the 350, which one is best?
Hi mayhem69 !

are the beaches of northern Spain .. are very tourist, coins with holes in the middle are the decade of the 90, are the last Spanish coins before using Euro coins ....I use the serial coil with the purchase of the detector ... is the simple dish elliptical .. and it worked fine, it's good to that you can hunt sites in rocks and trees .. they are usually good at finding .. but for hunting on the beaches there are double coils Garret for the Ace 350 or coils brand SEF (can be used along with Garret 350) in my country are sold in sizes of 8 "x 6", 12 "x 10", 15 "x 12" .. these are good for coins on the beach .. and sites with lots of junk .. findings that are best located near each other ... but I do not use my ACE 350. : Hello:

Hispan, regarding coils, for the Ace 350 is there different coils that can be used for beach and rocky grass areas?? I am looking to purchase a unit that does well on dry beach, wet sand and grassy rocky areas. Can you recommend an all around unit in the price range?

Congrats, Hispan. And thanks for the encouragement. I live in Santa Barbara Ca. Lots of beaches with lots of tourists and after reading this I'm more eager than ever to get a detector and get busy.

Wow a very impressive collection(s) of finds from the beach HISPAN, Congrats :icon_thumright: !

Copngratulations on your finds and thank you for sharing the photos! My finds from the beach look similar but my gold usually is 9K or 14K, rarely a 18K item. And I don't have as much anyway. It would be nice to find beer or coke sometimes but never found any - only empty cans buried deeply and they sound just like a good target. Strangely this year there wasn't much silver jewelry to be found. Or maybe I just missed it.

Looks like you were kept busy . Great job and congratulations!!!

What a wonderful collection for your 2012 beach haul, congrats! Love your colorful & artistic photo presentation! What makes the Spanish beaches dangerous? Is it rough weather, rough water or rough people? Vaya con Dios, mi amigo! Andi

Congratulations!!

The new White's Coinmaster GT just rolled of the assembly line, beach mode for wet sand - trac lock and great for the money - most likely will replace the Prizm 6T's with this all for under 400.00 USD

You found beer cans too or it is only for decoration? :occasion14: Amazing!

Good goobbely goop! :o
That almost looks exactly like my collection from the beach! LOL! Sans the coke cans, most cans here in Fla are beer and empty. LOL!
How you sort yours? I sort mine by 5 gallon buckets!
Keep up the good work and keep having funs! :cat:

Hispan is the man. I like seeing what you find sir. Always great post. Now you can open a jewelry store. It is fun when you travel also. Good luck.

WOW! And I have only found 75 clad coins, a key, a token and a sh*t load of beer tabs. I feel like such a noobie.

Man,you've been busy,I really like the way you arranged them.
