this past Sunday i decided to take my metal detector out to an old mining town that ive had my eye on for a while now because it was built right next to an Indian ruin the mine was discover in 1900 but they weren't able to actually start mining until 1919 because the native Americans drove them away so finally they got rid of them in 1919 and mined the mine until 1935.........so any way here are some of my finds p.s i also found a bluish-green glass marble but i seem to have miss placed it IMG_1647.JPGIMG_1649.JPGIMG_1652.JPGIMG_1653.JPGIMG_1654.JPGIMG_1655.JPGIMG_1656.JPGIMG_1657.JPGIMG_1658.JPGIMG_1659.JPGIMG_1660.JPGIMG_1661.JPGIMG_1663.JPGIMG_1664.JPGIMG_1665.JPGIMG_1667.JPGIMG_1668.JPGIMG_1669.JPGIMG_1670.JPGIMG_1671.JPGIMG_1672.JPGIMG_1673.JPGIMG_1674.JPG does any one have any idea what the thing with the loop handle and hook on the other end is? it seems to have writing or a design on the handle but i cant read it .......and also the brooch is copper and i think it held a picture because it has a bit of paper left in it......i found the glasses on the surface and i think they are made of copper wire by a child or their parents for the the chid to play with.....and the can is an old sardine can it says maine sardines
and the gray rock is a stone blade i found in the indian ruin along with the shot gun shell cowboys and Indians in the same place

those glasses are seriously a find....think about it...hand made "toy" 100 years old...made from scrap and inginuity.....

Those clear broken bottle tops are from ketchup bottles. Cool finds; I also really like the toy glasses.

If you happen to find any serious Native American artifacts, please notify the proper authorities. I would like to see our heritage returned to our people when possible. I may only be a mudblood, but it still is sensitive issue.
