My daughter and I went hunting today and found 1 bullet casing. We were not out long. I am trying to find a detecting buddy living close to Wilson's Mills NC. Anyone out there?

Where is that in North Carolina? I am a Virginian born and raised but I live only about 15 minutes from the border of NC. Of course I am closest to currittuck, moyock and elizabeth city. If we are close would not mind detecting with ya if you would'nt mind detecting with a Virginian that is. Lol

I pretty much always take my son. He's 8, has a MD but usually gets bored and starts breaking sticks or digging holes that he can fit in....Great hunting with the kids though. Good luck in the future with finding a hunting pal.... There are tons out there. Go to the forum that lists all the states and try there...

Thanks for all the replys. I live about 2 hours from the border about right in the middle of North Carolina. Maybe we can get together one weekend. I am a fireman here work part time at another department, but still have time to hunt.

sorry it has taken so long to reply. Yeah we should get together some time. I am in the navy and thinking of working for the fire department when I get out. How do you like the job? Decent pay and bennefits?
