My favorite Korean bank is being robbed right now.

There is one area near me that has several Korean banks. Saehan Bank (in Buena Park) just got robbed an hour ago and something happened and the manager is now a hostage with a police standoff outside. The manager I have seen was a Korean woman.

There is usually a Korean guard out front. I have gotten over 1000 big dollars and hundreds in loose halves here.

Strange to find so many halves in a small ethnic strip mall bank. I hope the employees make it out unharmed

not out here. Koreans stick together and only do business with other koreans.
Many Koreans own small mom and pop businesses, like liquor stores and they own them in poor parts of town (ghetto). The owners bring their daily cash deposites to the bank. Don't know where the locals get their spending money, but I have done OK at Korean banks (there are 4 more within one block)

I know at this back I got 2 morgans and dozens of halves (lady,frank & JFK)

Do they sell them to you readily? The asian banks Ive asked for halves here are less than friendly

I don't think I could even go into to a Korean Bank unless I was Korean. For some reason, just an observation but Koreans like to own dry cleaning businesses too. A lot of them around my around are all owned by Koreans.
 

And here I am buying my dimes like a sucker when I could have just stolen them.
 

I heard about this! The bank is like 20 mins from my house, a friend of mine lives like 3 blocks away from that bank and told me about it.
 

I also have cleaned up at Korean banks
 

Bank heist update

Yesterday, SWAT blew out the front door and the manager came running out, then there was a shootout. The bad guy got shot :thumbsup: but SWAT's best marksman didn't do his job very well, the guy will probably live. >:(

The cops were injured but they will be OK :icon_thumright:

It depends on what brand of Asian bank you try out.

Korean banks tend to be very friendly and helpful. Now, there is a big Chinese community 10 miles north of me and Chinese banks tend to be rude and full of rules that I think just get made up just for me, cause I am a white boy. I love to go in a few and call them out on that. (little do they know half my family is Japanese)

From a news article: "Authorities said the suspect continued to be uncooperative after the shooting, the station reported."

My guess is he wasn't bleeding like he was supposed to. :tongue3:

I find over and over that it just doesn't pay to make generalizations about any ethnic group.

Personally, I sometimes go a-huntin' for CWRs (& loose halves) at a Chinatown in a nearby city, and I don't really feel like I've been treated any differently by the (mostly) asian tellers.
