My brother-in-laws dad's artifacts.

I was talking with my brother-in-law about artifact hunting and he mentioned that his dad had a few. He sent me the picture below. I'm now trying to type them. I believe that I have most of them typed but I'm looking for more opinions and knowledge. Especially on the one in the top row, third from the left. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. These points are all from western Pennsylvania. Thanks

37 - That's what seemed to be the most similar but in the pic it looks like the stem comes down to a point almost and is not squared off. However, if I had to pick one out of my i.d. book, that would be it. Thanks a lot for your input.

Anyone wanna take a crack at the other ones?

The material looks like what is found in SWPA so I assume the finds were from SWPA. We are in lucky area to find artifacts. With the Ohio River so close to our search area there are point types found that are similar to those found quite a distance away. I think we need to look at Ohio types while typing points while looking at PA type. There are many MidWestern types that make there way into this area including the Snyder's knife I found this fall.

I agree with 37 on the Erb and the others look to be late Archaic - Woodland. Pick up the book Point Typology for Pennsylvania and the Northeast by Gary L. Fogelman. This books shows some of the point types from the MidWest that make it into our area. I'll bring the book next time we meet up.

Sounds good. Some he found in the north hills and some he found in Erie. Not sure which ones were found where though.
