051709 BEST SWAG DAY SO FAR!!!

I found the Tungston ring within the first 2 minutes of heading to the water in dry sand.
after walking for a half hour or so I could see lots of holes in the wet sand and water and knew I was following other detectorists (later to find out 5) and only found a penny.
I was approached by two women and asked if I would look for their friend's Emerald ring that was lost like 2-3 weeks earlier. I knew my hopes of water hunting were slim and said sure.
I hunted in the area they had shown me for about 20 minutes when I found the sapphire and diamond ring by sight spotting in the sand..10kgold. Then I hunted methodically for another 3 hours for the girls when I said I should be heading back to my car and home.
On the walk back and within the next half hour...out popped the aquamarine and diamond ring...marked .925 on one side and RJ9 on the other. About a half hour after that out popped the gorgeous 1/4diamond ring...gold but inscription is in an oriental language....possibly Japanese.
Not less than 10-15 minutes later I found a silver ring.
I guess I was blessed today because rather than blow those girls off after 15-20 minutes of hunting for their lost Emerald ring...I stayed and gave it my all. PS I never did find their ring and neither did a friend of mine that went back to the beach to cover the ground I could not.

TODAYS TOTAL:::::
1sapphire+4diamond 10kgold ring
1oriental 1/4beautiful diamond gold ring
1aquamarine+4diamond silver ring
one tungston ring
1silver ring that says Love Life on the outside and Be Brave on the inside
oh yea and $5.00 in clad coinage and no pennies counted! :icon_cheers:

Congrats on a great day at the beach. Nice of you to try and help the girls out even tho you knew it was a 1 in a 1000 long shot.

It amazes me recently how many are having really fabulous days on the beach. There seems to be a rash of recent drops as they look for the most part to have had no adverse effects from the sand or the water. You've obviously found a very good area. Work it for all its worth.

very nice day!!!

It shows that when one does something nice out of kindness that one does get rewarded in one way or another.

Congrats on finding 5 rings.

GOOD HEAVENS! What a day! That one is going to be very hard to top! I would have been happy with one of those but 5! You will be telling stories about that day for a long time to come. WTG!

that is a day for the books!! congrats on a great day of hunting!

Way to Go, TH'ing Buddy. Using my scoop rubbed some of my luck onto you. Haven't found 5 rings together in 20 years, glad you had such a great day. :icon_queen: Everybody wonders where you found them and it was at the last beach that they hunted, LOL. Swinging that coil too fast or got the disrimination turned up way to high, LOL. All kidding aside, ;D TH'ers, it can happen to anybody when the conditions all fall into order or the alighment of the planets. It just makes us work harder to beat that number. See you later, GG.

Thanx FL. I learned from the best. PS The tungston ring was found right after a guy said another THr just walked there but wasn't checking the sand while trying to get to the water. Hangingfor8 has taught me the fine art of slowing my step (we call it the bridal march). It has made a huge improvement in my finds. I see alot of guys just trying to majorly cover ground, especially if they see other THrs out there. And many times I have walked behind others only to find more than they end up finding when they turn around and we chat.

Great finds...the last photo would be great if it was in focus so we could all appreciate them even more
