Hello again,
This is my best jewelry find since I have been detecting. I found it in a soccer type field, about 3-4 inches deep last year. Stamped 18k with ss or 55 along with an undistinguishable hallmark. I took it around to several jewelers at the local mall and the stones are not diamonds but could be topaz or saphire. Evidently there is no easy way to tell the difference. One gal at one of the jewelers really liked it as she had a hard time returning it to me , and a fellow at a different jewely shop offered me $100-$150 for it. A different jeweler told me that because how the setting is made it appears to be ~40 years old, that is made in the 1960's sometime. Anyhow , the wife has laid claim to it and wears it out when we go somewhere nice. Hope every one enjoys!
