Got out today for a short hunt at a spot I had not hit before. My very first signal was one that made me say that is silver. I started digging and saw a little green disc, I knew that wasnt what was ringing out in my headphones, and sure enough I was right. Out popped this 1873 quarter. I knew it was in good condition, but after cleaning it I was suprised at the condition it was in. Other then a little scratch by the sheild the coin is great. The injun turned out to be a 1866. Which was a great year as the were only 9,826,500 minted. picked up a flat button, then came what I think is a maybe part of a Ram rod guide? Thats what I am thinking of coarse I may be way off. was able to pick up a a 1903 V nickle aswell. Not bad for a couple hours. Cant wait to get back out to this site. Thanks for looking.
