Out of my 4 large cents, I admire this one the most. With one of my large cents having a hole in the middle, the other has a date that is barely visible, and the other has no visible date at all. It feels that this one had to be dropped not very long after its date. *note the distinct gash above the word "ONE" on the back of the coin. You can thank my digger and myself for that...

oops.. look at it this way, there would be no minor scratch on it if was still in the ground...

Very nice coin. I like the patina.

Your soil was kind ...still got some the copper color, very nice !

Don't sweat the little scratch, it gives it more character! Nice save. Everyone that recovers coins has scratched one, I put a nice gouge in an 1870 (Semi Key) Indian......

Congrats on the nice LC!

Still looks beautiful, regardless of tiny scratch. That is a really nice find, I found one of those too but the date and the back are eroded.

Very nice Large Cent!
