Well i have an older friend, that happens to own a farm... and being the nice ole' guy, he lets me metal detect on it..
The History:
According to the college that came and dug there (apparently only the front of the field) it was a civil war camp site during Sherman march...
And the last time the land was lived on (people have owned it before but not actually lived on) was a man who fought in the revolutionary war, and the land was given to the man by the county! Indians also lived on the creek that goes through the lot!
My finds:
3 shot gun caps (not sure on age, ive found old one sbefore)
5 newer (pretty sure new) bullets
2 civil war bullets
1 musket ball that supposedely hit bone (or something hard)
2 smalelr musket ball shrapnel
1 piece to a silver spoon
2 pieces of flint
5 mystery shrapnal (i think they were musket balls)
1 piece to brass lock
