I found this ring water hunting at a small beach. I had been finding many bottle caps and can tabs when my machine went off indicating a non-ferrous object. I was in awe when I scooped out this ring and saw its brilliant gleam in the sun. I am however having trouble keeping my wife away from it.

nice find cant wait till i get a water machine

The water machines are great. I have a White's Beach Hunter I.D. I love it! The ratio of good items to bad in the water is MUCH better than on land. Also I didn't want to chance dropping my DFX in the water and ruining it.

Awesome looking ring, WTG!!!
I wish I would have gotten me a water machine too, like you, I would hate to drop my CZ in the water...
I guess in time, I'll be like a lot of others out here with multiple machines, ( HINT Santa )? ;D
I'm thinking about taking mine out on a boat to check a few shallow spots I know of that should produce something.? ???
Good luck & Happy hunting~

WoW Greg, that IS a nice ring!

Sorry I didn't notice your post before, it was buried down the list, and I have had a lot of catching up to do since returning from TN.

We should still get together sometime for a hunt or 2 (maybe in the spring?) as per our previous conversations. I'd still like to do a filmed hunt in the lakes with you if you're still thinking of doing one for your TV show... If not, just a day or 2 hunting sometime would be fine with me...

Con-grats on the finds,

Keep me posted,

HH

Great ring! My first thought?? Dean Martin's pinkie ring.. 'Course that's dating myself! :D

Why would you want to keep it away from your wife? Heck, a ring or two like that, and she will be following behind you with a steam shovel!
Seriously, I just dropped $3000 on two rings for wifey for our 6th anniversary. I would have been thrilled to give her something nice for free.
It sure makes it easier to talk her into it when you want to upgrade.

Nice hunk!

I used to live in Western Michigan. Ever hear of a little dumpy town called Grand Haven? Used to live in that big blue house U can see from the Millhouse Bayou bridge (the one to the right of the condos).

I hunted about every lake within 200 miles so they're all hunted out? ;D

Oh, I just left that little ring for you because I'm so nice.? ;D

Thanks Wayne! Ya I'd love to hook up in the spring. I drove to the lake you and I discussed in my area but did not see a public access site. I will look again. That lake was used for recreation in the history accounts from the late 1800's.

Thanks for leaving one behind for me Bro. Hope you can leave me a couple more. Like the fellow said above, it makes upgrading machines easier when the wife thinks she might be able to get a share of the treasure. LOL
