Did some research on google earth this morning and found a camp ground about 15 miles from my home town. Arrived at the park and noticed a monument with a sign and parked the car and read what it said. It said a wealthy family donated 25 acres to the city in 1925 for a recreational area to be made. Started detecting and right off the bat found a Silver Roosevelt Dime. Then I found a Mercury Dime. Then I found a 3 Silver Roosevelt Pocket Spill :headbang: My was I stoked. Continued on and found somemore Roosevelt Dimes. Decided to try along the firver bank that runs parrallal to the campground. Boy was that trashy. So I started working along the bank and got a 50/1.00 reading on the At Pro at 8 inches with A VDI bouncing between 94 and 96. Dug down and found half of a old pepsi can. Put it in my pouch and continued on about two and a half feet away from the pepsi can I had a hit that read 50/1.00 at 10+ Inches and a VDI bouncing between 96 and 98. Said probuly the other half of the can. Dug down and to my surprise, something I thought I would never have found. Big Silver And I Mean Big. Totals for the day where 7 Silver dimes and 1 Silver Dollar. Good Luck And Happy Hunting All!!!!

Way to go, Big Thumbs Up !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Still waiting to find my first silver dollar here. I've not given up tho, have a lead on where one was found recently. Going to hit that site soon !

Thats AWESOME man! W....T...G!!!!!

Sweet looking Lady there!!! HH Chug

Nice silver BUT...

I hope you weren't planning on finding a whole lot more there because you just gave all other detector users in Minnesota (who I'm sure lurk here) enough information to figure that location out AND...

That campgrounds probably won't like 20 guys digging there - so even if there's things left behind you might see a "no detecting" sign next time you show up.

You made out on this hunt ! Nice Silver Dollar by the way.

holy money.... wtg man the silver dimes alone would make a good day... but the Morgan is over the top. congrats

That peace dollar is a beauty!! Yes I think you should remove any identifying information about that park!

I'm not to worried, there are about 20 rivers within a 30 mile radius of where I live. And I would say there are probuly 50 to 60 campgrounds within all that area. I've only seen one other guy metal detecting in my area and he said he had been doing it since the late 70's. He also told me he didn't dig very many dimes when he was out and about because back when he went metal detecting hard he would only dig 50cent and quarter signals seeing that dimes didn't have that much silver. When I first started detecting he stopped at the park in town and bullshitted with me for a while and said I probuly wouldn't find and quarters or half dollars. He said he done got them all but there should be plenty of dimes. Found 1 silver quarter and 24 silver dimes out of that park so far. One other thing I really don't care if people find the campground I'm not Greedy. I thought I would never find A silver dollar and I have. Next on my wish list is a Standing Liberty Quarter. Good Luck And Happy Hunting!!!

WOW! Great finds!!!! rock on - and right way to be - there is plenty out there for everyone.... 'cause people keep on dropping coins.... :)
