My best and oldest coin find to date!

I found this 1916 walking liberty half dollar today at a site that burned down sometime in the 1950's. Last March I pulled out some 1940' s wheats and two Jefferson war nickles. I was shocked and excited to see this come out of the ground! I can't wait to get back and do a thorough grid search. I've pulled an assortment of "stuff" from this site that I'll post later.

Congrats on your find. I personally think the walking liberty half is one of the prettiest designs ever minted. Perhaps this is because when I was a little boy (almost 40 years ago) my neighbor lady paid me with one of these for doing chores around her house. I have it to this day and have never stopped admiring it. Thank goodness the kids didn't spend this one when they got hold of my coin collection years ago. Thanks for sharing your find. rb24
